Ett par dagar innan förbundskongressen läste jag Sartres skrift L’Existentialisme est un humanisme i den engelska översättningen existentialism is a humanism. Det är en av de viktigaste existentialistiska skrifterna av den absolut största existentialistiska filosofen Jean-Paul Sartre. Jag fastnade direkt för ett citat som jag skickade till Gustav Nipe direkt:
Quietism is the attitude of people who say: “Others can do what I cannot do.” The doctrine that I am presenting to you is precisely the opposite of quietism, since it declares that reality exists only in action. It ventures even further than that, since it adds: “Man is nothing other than his own project. He exists only to the extent that he realizes himself, therefore he is nothing more that the sum of his actions, nothing more than his life.”
Gustav Nipe är handling (=action). Redan innan han blev vald sysslade han mycket mer precis vad jag förväntade mig att han skulle göra i sin roll som förbundsordförande. Han reste runt flitigt och diskuterade med och engagerade medlemmar runt om i landet, i alla distrikt. Han har gjort saker, gjort saker och gjort saker.
Och reality exists only in action gäller inte bara människor. Det gäller föreningar och förbund också. Jag längtar till att se den handling som Gustav Nipe kommer att skapa och uppmuntra till i förbundet.
